Charlie Rangel is drawing fire from both sides of the asile to resign

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said she was going to drain the swamp. She said she was going to build the most ethical Congress in history. She has also going to stand behind the corrupt chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee Charles Rangel.

Rangel has been mired in scandal, mention in this previous post. He has a certain problem with his tax reporting, as well as reporting his own personal net worth. That net worth has apparently doubled according to a new disclosure he has filed.

Democrats though, true to their form, have chosen to stand by their corrupt membership. Instead of showing him the door, they have allowed him to stay, at least for the time being. I’d say let him go, the man has used his office for his own personal financial gain for a long time. His corruption knows no bounds.

With Congress approval ratings hovering at 21%, a massive shift in its make-up seems likely. One can hope that guys like this will be voted out soon.
