The Green Jobs Czar has quit, after a firestorm of criticism coming from his past comments and affiliations according to Hot Air. The WhiteHouse was careful to note over the weekend in this video with press secretary Robert Gibbs.

Gibbs wanted to stress that Jones would not want to get in the way of Obama’s policies, and that Jones resigned, he was not fired. The entire administration is hoping that the problem will now just fade away and Obama will pass his new health care reform bill.

What came out later in the story, is that Jones was never vetted by the WhiteHouse. The FBI vetted him, but he never took the famous 7 page, 63 question application that was supposed to be required for all of his czar and cabinet level positions. It is striking that they cannot even get a handle on those 31 employees. All the while Obama’s poll numbers continue to fall

In my opinion, this will not end the controversy. If Van Jones didn’t take the application, who else didn’t? What else are we going to find out about his cabinet members in the coming weeks? Is Obama going to fire everyone that comes under fire? That is the price Obama will pay for having his far left cabinet. They tend to get themselves into trouble.
